About Us
We Are Here to Serve Our Community
Our mission is to serve the Teton Valley Community as a source for well being by providing high quality instruction in yoga and related disciplines to all seekers.
Our Inspiration
The Yoga Source is centered on students. Everything else follows from that. We want students to feel welcome and to pursue their personal path in a way that is accessible to all.

We strive to have the most experienced and talented instructors in the Valley. If our instructors are cared for, the students reap the rewards.

We aim to support a thriving and dedicated community of teachers by paying a competitive wage, cultivating on-going education and training, and creating a team culture where we lift one another up.
Why a Non-Profit?
Because The Yoga Source is centered on students, and the mission is to serve the community, all money raised goes towards improving students' experience at The Yoga Source, and reaching out to find and support anyone in the community with an interest in yoga and related studies.
Yoga has been shown to lower stress hormones in our bodies while simultaneously increasing beneficial brain chemicals like endorphins and GABA. These feel-good chemicals help decrease anxiety and improve mood and health. It starts within and then extends to our homes and our town. By benefiting one we benefit all.

We attract excellent teachers with a wide range of experience. We offer as many classes during the week as we can manage, and offer special events and workshops to meet the needs of our students.
All of our resources go into creating a source for teachers and presenters to share offerings that benefit the community.

As a resource to the community the Yoga Source has priced its monthly memberships starting at $75 a month or "pay as you are able" classes in the studio. We never turn anyone away. We believe that everyone deserves access to the well-being and inner peace that a yoga practice can bring.
How Does it Work?
The Yoga Source is directed by a Board of Directors composed of students, with a maximum of one teacher. This insures continuity as well as reinforcing the concept of a student and community focused organization. Memberships encourage students to attend frequent and diverse classes, and drop in students can support the organization with whatever they feel they are able. Teachers are paid based on their experience, allowing them to offer classes during what would normally be considered off-hours, or to provide offerings that may appeal to a smaller set of students.
